Founded in October 2003 as Sovereign Oilfield Services Ltd, Sovereign was the brainchild of Dr Peter Felter and John Graham Burgess who between them have several decades of experience in the energy industry. Sovereign was conceived in response to a market opportunity to create a medium-large group of companies with an international presence, focusing on quality oilfield services. After a number of successful acquisitions, Sovereign floated on the AIM, London Stock Exchange on 28 September 2005. Since then, the Group has expanded to meet growing demand and now provides quality engineering products, technical services and human resources to the oil and gas sector through 12 operating subsidiaries.
