Company Overview
Kea Petroleum was incorporated in England and Wales on 18th September 2009.
The majority of the Kea Petroleum Board, having worked together previously, chose to focus on New Zealand, in particular the prolific Taranaki Basin, where it has considerable expertise.
The intention was to build a business where existing and lower risk new discoveries could be rapidly brought on-stream by utilising the well-established local infra-structure and market.
Kea has assembled an experienced team with a combination of technical expertise and key experience. This is complemented by extensive financial and transactional knowledge of the oil and gas sector gained through both public and private companies across the major global hydrocarbon regions.
Since incorporation, Kea has raised approximately £31.2 million from various fundraisings and has been awarded four significant oil and gas exploration permits in the Taranaki Basin of New Zealand.
