Company Overview
Fidelity Special Values PLC invests mainly in companies listed on the London Stock Exchange (although up to 20% can be invested in overseas stock markets).
The portfolio manager is a value investor, naturally seeking out stocks that are unloved and out of favour. There are a number of reasons why a company's value may not yet be appreciated by other investors, which could include a restructuring, a possible takeover, a complex business structure or simply that the company is unfashionable.
Fidelity Special Values PLC was awarded ‘Best UK Growth Investment Trust’ at the MoneyWise Investment Trust Awards 2010 held in London. The portfolio is managed by Sanjeev Shah, who took over from Anthony Bolton at the beginning of 2008.
