How does this site work?

We have provided links to companies' websites which allows you to click on a link on our site and open a page on a company's site. Each company has its own page on our site with the links to their financial information. These links are direct and allow you to see the information you need. When you have viewed the page and wish to return to our site you should close the company's page and you will return back to the company page on our site. You have access to all of the links that are underlined on our page and you can easily return back to the company page.

How to use Northcote?

Find the company you wish to view by following the 'Find Company Information' section below. Once you have got the company page up you will see in the bottom section of the page a list of links to specific financial information. Simply click on a link and you will be sent to the company's own information on their site.

Find Company Information

You can easily access company information by finding the company listing by sector, index, alphabetically, or by entering the search tool.

By Sector

Click the 'Sector' tab to be directed to a list of the category of FTSE sectors that a company can be listed in. Click on each sector to find a list of all the companies categorized in that sector. Then click on the company you wish to view to be directed to the company's page.

By Index

Click the 'Index' tab to be directed to a list of all the FTSE Indices. Click on each index to find a list of all of the companies in that index. Then click on the company you wish to view and be directed to that company's page.

Alphabetically

Click the 'Alphabetically' tab to be directed to an alphabetical list. Click on the letter that the company starts with to find a list of all of the companies listed that start with that letter. Click on the company you wish to view and be directed to that company's page.

The Search Tool

This sophisticated tool allows you to search for a company by:

• Company Name: Enter any part of the company name E.g.. Dan for Daniels and you will find the search results of all of the companies which have the letters you typed in the box, or British for Associated British Foods.
• Epic: If you know the Epic of the company, enter it here and you will find a search result for the company listed under that epic. If you enter any part of the epic the search results will show all listed companies with the letters that you entered that appear in their epic.
• Address: Enter any part of a company's address into the box and you will find search results for all of the listed companies who have the same text in their address. For example if you type, London, it will list all of the companies in London. If you type Berkeley Square then it will list all of the companies in Berkeley Square.
• Post Code: Enter any part of the company's post code and find a list of all companies at that post code. If you enter SW1 the search results will list all of the listed companies addressed at SW1.

If you enter any combination of the above the search results will find all listed companies will all of the criteria entered. E.g.

Company name: Brit

Epic: B

Address: London

Post Code: W

Will search for companies that have Brit in their name, that have the letter B in their epic, that have London in their address and have W as the first letter of their post code.

The more information that you enter into the search fields the more successful your search will be.

Quick Search

The quick search box on the top left-hand side of the page allows you to type any part of a company's name and it will provide search results for all companies listed that have the letters that you entered in their name. The more precise your entry the more precise the result will be.

You will quickly be directed to the company you wish to view and will find that you can navigate back to any part of our site by using the left hand tabs on the page.

Registration

To gain access to the full information and use the 'My Portfolio' service we require you to register.

Simply fill in your e-mail address and a password of your choice and click GO!!

You are now registered to the full service of the site

What is My Portfolio'?

This is your personal portfolio of the companies that you follow or invest in. You can add or change the companies within your portfolio by clicking the 'Add to My Portfolio' or 'Remove from My Portfolio' buttons on the top of each companies' page. You can then manage the portfolio from the 'My Portfolio' page.

When you revisit the site you simply login by entering your e-mail address and chosen password and you will see a personalised home page or be directed straight through to your 'Portfolio'. This enables you to track your companies easily.

On the 'My Portfolio' page there are a number of options. The buttons allow you to update or add a company and they only work for the company they are next to. There are two check boxes. The firsts 'Company Messages' allows us to send you messages that the company has paid for us to send you. The second 'Northcote Updates' allows us to send you a short notification that we have updated the site of the company.

You have ultimate control of this service and you can change the companies and requests for e-mail alerts within your portfolio at anytime.
