Company Overview

The Pennon Group operates and invests in the areas of water and sewerage services and waste management. It has assets of £2.7 billion and employs around 2,600 people in two main subsidiaries: South West Water Limited and Viridor Waste Limited.

South West Water Limited holds the water and sewerage appointments for Devon, Cornwall and parts of Dorset and Somerset, while Viridor Waste Limited is one of the largest waste treatment and disposal businesses in the UK.

Company Strategy

The Pennon strategy is to be a pre-eminent operator in business areas of water and sewerage services and waste management. In these main business areas, and for all future business developments, the company aims to ensure quality, efficiency and reliability which will help to meet the three key goals of: satisfying customers; enhancing the environment; and adding value for shareholders, employees and the regional community.
