Company Overview

The Carphone Warehouse is the largest independent retailer of mobile communications in Europe, across 10 countries in over 1,300 stores. Over the last 10 years it has made significant mobile telephony acquisitions throughout Europe, particularly France and Germany. In February 2003, the company lauched 'TalkTalk' - its new residential fixed line telecoms service, as a direct competitor to BT. In March 2004, it made its first move into the European fixed line market with the acquisitions of Xtra in Spain and Swiss operator NTel.
