Chrysalis Group holds the unique position of being the only public company in the United Kingdom to incorporate within its businesses four key media sectors: radio stations; music publishing and recording; book publishing; and mobile content delivery.

As of 17 July, Emmis Communications - one of America's largest media groups, has put Chrysalis at the head of a shopping list of British media assets. Emmis is unlikely to be interested in the music and book publishing arms, although Schroder Investment Management - Chrysalis's largest shareholder, is understood to be keen to see the divisions offloaded.
